The Magic Order #2 Reviews

The story continues to impress and I must say magic is very innovative. Once again top marks for the drawing which really capture this bizzare world well

    Really better than first issue.

Here I can start to see that we are in front of another BIG book of Mr. Millar.

Things are moving, The Venetian is a hell of a character, I wish him a slow painful death!

3.75 Stars. This is pretty solid, & I think it has the potential to be really good, we'll see.

Although not as snappy and smart as the first issue, The Magic Order #2 still manages to keep my interest with its dark, adult-themed story of magic assassinations.

Issue two is still scarce with background stories and motivations why the characters (particularly the antagonist) do such things, but for the sake of efficiently telling as much story as possible in just six issues, I am quite comfortable with Mark Millar's story direction of telling the "now" instead of delving into the

I will definitely keep on reading this.

Very imaginative! What an epic cliffhanger

While there’s a lot to love in this issue: the opening was unique and powerful and gave us good insight into Cordelia, I found myself a bit disappointed. We know who the antagonist is and their motivation without a doubt, with no nuance, and it’s all so uninspired is disappointing. It would have been much more interesting if we questioned who the assassin was really working for, for example.

While overall I love the character designs, the main baddie looks absolutely ridiculous in that BDSM mask. It’s really hard for me to take such an over-the-top set of villains seriously, and they’re intended as such.

I also felt the plot was moving a little fast, and I think I can already see where it’s going. There are so many characters, but I don’t really care about any of them, and considering their lives being at stake is where the tension comes from right now, that’s a major flaw. Overall, this series is shallow and uninspired despite a cool concept and some great ideas. I’ll likely continue, but I’ll probably wait until I can pick up the next issue or two on sale.

This is the most fucked up comic I've ever read.
