I genuinely do not know where to start. I have been waiting for Vital Found since finishing Variant Lost late last year and I can tell you right now... the wait was well worth it. Kaydence Snow has done it again in her second ever novel, by delivering a story that has you hooked from the prologue all the way to the end. Her characters are captivating and their stories are addictive.

    "Let it flow, baby..."

I finished this book a few days ago and I am still in awe. I have been fighting to try find the right words that will do it justice, and honestly I still don't believe I do. But let's try yeah? If you have read Variant Lost and finished it with a million questions, rest assured they are all answered when you read Vital Found. This is the main reason Kaydence has become one of my favourite authors, due to the fact that she listens to her readers and takes in what they say but mostly what they want. For me personally, every question I asked was answered, and every gap I wanted filled was given it's missing piece.

"Take it all if you have to..."

You might read the blurb, or know the sub genre this book is in, however let me be the first to tell you that even though The Evelyn Maynard Trilogy is a reverse harem - it is NOTHING like your typical smut related ones. Yes it has so much sexual chemistry you can feel it in your bones, and yes there is steamy scenes and hot kisses shared amongst the four guys and Eve. However that is not the story nor is it the main attraction of this book. Vital Found is a book where you have a bit of everything you love in a romance. You get to swoon over the love Ethan, Josh, Tyler and Alec have for Evelyn. You get the mystery, thrill and adventure for what they are fighting against and for. You get those hot and heavy moments that are sure to make you blush six ways from sunday. But you will most definitely get a story that draws you in, keeps you hostage and leaves you wanting more, more and more.

    "Knowledge is Power."

Words will never be enough to describe just how much I love this book or how much I love this Trilogy. I encourage you to read this book, and get lost in the story of Evelyn and her boys, because it is one you will happily do over and over again. Vital Found is definitely the easiest add to not only my 2019 Favourite Reads, but to my number 1 spot. A job well freaking done by you Kaydence Snow.

    This and

have now become my favourite stand in for the popular TVD style RH.

but then the pacing is quicker. It says its a trilogy so there is no time for faffing about with other girlfriends and stuff.

So much of this is just

    for me.

    ✅ Evelyn is special but

. Yes she has a little more juice in the tank than other Vitals but she not saving the world single handed.

✅ Studygate- what a genius plot device.

    oh the drama was delicious!

✅ Alec - at the end of book 1 I wrote in

that I hoped it wouldn’t be easy for him. The asshole needed to be on his knees begging... well I’ll let you read it and decide for yourselves.

✅ Tyler - I want to have your babies. I will fulfil your fantasy

    .

✅ the “F ME” moments were so unexpected I could not put down the book until I knew what was gonna happen! But hallelujah they weren’t dragged out- which leads me to

✅ the pacing. Was perfect. We had drama, suspense, romance and everything

. But then it is a trilogy so I guess it has to with an end in sight. Another reason why trilogy are the best

❌ I could have been doing without the use of the “honey voice”

❌ There was a lot of crying

she’s a normal teenage girl. Not the UF heroine who kicks ass. She’s normal and I think I’d have cried too so

The long as short of it is

and there was very little to complain about

The first book in this trilogy, Variant Lost, was my favorite reverse harem (RH) book from 2018, and though it is only March, I suspect Vital Found may end up being my favorite of 2019. This series and its characters resonate with me in so many ways and though I often make a big deal out of Alec, the series' alphahole, being my favorite, the truth is I love all of the heroes, and the heroine, Evelyn. This series and its characters resonate with me in so many ways and though I often make a big deal out of Alec, the series' alphahole, being my favorite, the truth is I love all of the heroes, and the heroine, Evelyn. In this second book, Alec and Evie continue to be at odds, but we all know he loves her so much, and I love that dynamic more than I can say. Her relationships with her other Variants continues to evolve, all while they navigate learning to use and control their powers in relation to Evie's Light. Something I love about this series is that the things that are predictable are the things I most want to happen so I am pleased by them, and conversely the things I THINK are going to happen that I might not like, end up not happening at all, as the author takes the story in a direction I didn't see coming. This book is even longer than the first one and I applaud that as I have found too many RH books are too short for adequate development. I don't think it is a coincidence that this series of longer books is earning the rare full 5 star from me. As I read, I couldn't wait for certain things to happen, and at the same time didn't want it to end. By the same token, I can't wait for the last book, but I will be infinitely sorry to say goodbye to these characters.

This book blew all my expectations away, first and foremost. I read Variant Lost last year and, although I absolutely loved the book, I didn’t like a certain character and I was worried that his behavior would continue bothering me in this book. And now, I love this character and want more of him! In fact, the best part of this book was the character development we see between Eve and all the guys, especially Alec and Tyler.

And now, I love this character and want more of him! In fact, the best part of this book was the character development we see between Eve and all the guys, especially Alec and Tyler.

Tyler, by the way, is mine. ALL MINE! This just something about how commanding, mature, and logical he is that just gets my heart fluttering hard and me grinning like a schoolgirl with a crush. For those of you who have read the book already…you’ll get why that comparison is so funny hahaha

I love this world, the elements the author weaves into this story is absolutely beautiful and riveting, and again, I want to stress again how amazingly brilliant the characters are. It's difficult in RH romances for the guys to each shine and have enough screen time for us to care for them deeply, and I think this book does this job excellently. And the characters are always growing as people, which I appreciate.

Also, we finally get some sexy time in the books hahaha I remember finishing the first book and dying for Eve to get closer to the guys, because that sexual tension was killing me! LOL but I was pleasantly surprised by how...close Eve got to the guys, pun totally intended! Their relationships are so sweet, but they hit a new level of hotness in this book.

I highly recommend the Evelyn Maynard trilogy. I'm sad that there's only one book left in the trilogy because honestly, it's one of the best trilogies I've ever had the pleasure of reading. For those of you thinking about reading this trilogy, I say go for it. The characters are amazing, the world building is excellent, and the twists and turns are endless. I didn't even see the ending of this book coming, which is so nice since I've read hundreds of books and am rarely surprised.

In Vital Found we get all the answers, and more, that we were waiting for. Who is Evelyn’s father? Why was her mother on the run? Why is Alec and Tyler keeping her at a distance?

This book is action packed, full of secrets being revealed, and there’s never a dull moment.

I cannot wait for the third book!!

Still loving this! There are sexy times in this one towards the end! Villains are revealed. Someone is kidnapping Vitals. Evelyn runs off and tries to be TSTL but it resolves quickly. Very quickly. Which is just how I like it. The author has nailed it for me. Just the right amount of tension and drama without being annoying.

Alec becomes less of a jerk. The sexy times are pretty hot. Let me just say that Ethan, especially, really knows how to treat a woman. But they are all irr

All the love. The final book comes out in the beginning of August. I am so there.

I missed everyone in this book and I cant' believe that I kind of forgot about what happened in the previous book. It was interesting to see how these characters were acting once they came back to school. Plus, I just really wanted to see how my guys were and if things were finally progressing with all of them and Eve.

Speaking of the guys, I feel like they love to tease me. I had no idea that Alec and Tyler made this little promise to step back from Eve.. even though they all had feelings for her. I get that Alec didn't like the whole sharing thing and doesn't know if he can do it - but damn, that must be hard on all of them. I did enjoy that her and Tyler are finally a thing now! Hot damn, that one scene was so good!! Then there's Josh, Ethan and her - and ddaaammnn, I enjoyed that one too. I just need Alex on board now because I think it would be amazing between them two. HECK, I need all of them together ASAP.

Other than all of that, I didn't expect that kind of betrayal from Zara. I knew that something was off with her.. but dang, she had some secrets. The cliffhanger was alright in my eyes.. but I have no idea how I feel about it. Am I excited for the next book? I have no freaking idea! Do I want the next book right now? Of course I do, I miss everyone already but depending on when it actually comes out - I will probably need to reread these two books first.

I love all the characters in this group and enjoyed getting to know them a little better. I feel like the entire plot could have been wrapped up with a flick of a wrist at the end, but it didn't happen. I guess it is a good thing since there are a couple of unresolved issues. I'm looking forward to the final book. Smut factor on this one is 3.5 out of 5.

This would have been 3 stars, but the book is a good length (132,000 words) and it flows very well, so I bumped it up to 4.

❌ It took me a while to remember the characters and personalities of everyone involved in the harem, which isn't a good sign.

❌ Evie had a few moments of being irritating. She casually called a human a Dime, a word which is supposed to be as insultingly species-ist as 'mudblood' is in the HPverse, and I disliked this sudden appearance of casual racism.

    ❌ Alec, Alec,

❌ Alec, Alec, Alec. Where do I even start with him? The author unfortunately concentrated too many negative qualities into him, while making the others perfect, so he looks even worse in comparison. He essentially 'cheats' on her, being with Dana while knowing Eve is his Bond. He calls Dana the 'only girl who's ever made him feel normal.' He calls Eve worthless. He also has issues with sharing, constantly rejects her, keeps secrets, and just all-out is not a great guy.

✔️ It was well written and interesting.

✔️ Once I'd remembered who was who, the harem proceeded without any more instances of them blurring into each other.

    ✔️ Perfect level of burn.

    ✔️ Great epilogue.

Well, at least it was better than book 1 however I still feel unsatisfied.

Where in the storyline at times there seems to be to much information, the relationships seem to have to little. I still can not stand Alec. Snow seems to be trying to bring us back full circle to Alec and implying Evie and him have the biggest connection. Alec has done so much to his Vital (Evie) I am having difficulty recovering from it and accepting that logic.

Off to the final installment of this series.
