'I heart Hawaii' is the eighth and final book in Lindsey Kelk's I Heart series... And it's simply perfection. It's exactly the kind of book and ending that any fan of the series would want. I laughed so much, I cried so much... I just loved it. I can't believe after all these years that the series has come to an end. It's been a fabulous journey with Angela, Jenny and co. These books have so much positivity within them. They're 100% a celebration of women and being your most authentic self. Abou

I laughed so much, I cried so much... I just loved it. I can't believe after all these years that the series has come to an end. It's been a fabulous journey with Angela, Jenny and co. These books have so much positivity within them. They're 100% a celebration of women and being your most authentic self. About navigating your way in life and finding faces to call home rather than a single place. And at the heart of these stories are Angela and Jenny. The bestest besties ever and the type of positive female supporting female representation that we need.

I would urge any fan of entertaining fiction to pick up this series that starts with I heart New York and just enjoy the wonderful adventures of Angela Clark.

    Easiest Five Stars I've given.

I've been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint. After finding it in the second supermarket I looked in, several hours later and book hangover (only a few hours sleep) I've finished the series. Many books I can put up and down easily but this was not one of them.

I've been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint. After finding it in the second supermarket I looked in, several hours later and book hangover (only a few hours sleep) I've finished the series. Many books I can put up and down easily but this was not one of them.

The books starts as it means to go on. Angela is still Angela even though she has grown over the ten years of being in New York. I love how the characters are all older but still so true to who they are. It's even great to catch up with Cici. I feel Ang is judged more than Alex would have been for leaving her child to go to Hawaii. She hasn't left Alice with strangers, she's left her with her father. Who seems more than capable at juggling all areas of his life.

Alex Reid there's only one of him and he's so amazing. I loved him from the start but he just gets better and better by each book. He's such a natural parent and husband (if anyone can be perfect at those titles).

Alex and Angela's daughter is called Alice (Alice Clark Reid). I was rooting for the name Alice and am overjoyed that was the name chosen. It would be nice to know in the future if she gets a brother or a sister. Even if it's passing mention in another book.

Then there's Jenny without giving too much away, she's got a lot of things on her mind, this time quite grown up things to worry about. She's still Jenny though and you could never call her boring. I feel for her through much of this book and it seems life isn't quite going her way until the end.

The crossovers from Lindsey Kelk's other series, Paige Toon and Giovanna Fletcher were amazing I'll let you read for yourself.

A book for my keep pile and has joined my favourites of all time. Alex, Angela and Jenny are all characters who will never be forgotten. Alex is always going to be my book boyfriend of choice.

I've no other way to describe how I feel the end of the series than a song lyric '' It was the end of a decade, but the start of an age.''

Angela has just started her new job and has to leave her little Alice for the first time for so long. Sure, Alex is a great dad, but well, you know... mum is a mum, right? However, she's full of enthusiasm and actually happy to go out. Then Jenny invites her to a press trip to Hawaii and Angela is torn - it would be great to travel there with the whole gang, but what would Alex say? He says, go! However, she's full of enthusiasm and actually happy to go out. Then Jenny invites her to a press trip to Hawaii and Angela is torn - it would be great to travel there with the whole gang, but what would Alex say? He says, go! She will miss her daughter but how can she miss on the opportunity of some free days paid trip to Hawaii, all inclusive? Sun, sea, best friends, what could go wrong?

Well, it's Angela we're talking about, there is much that can go wrong...

It was so, so great to be back with Angela and the whole gang, even with Cici. It was actually Angela at her best and I loved how easily and lovely she took to motherhood, how relaxed she was in fact, even though, as it turns out, juggling being a mum and being back to work is not as easy as she has thought it may be. Then there is also the fact of joining a mother - baby group that sounds much more like Mafia than your normal coffee - klatsch. She's up to her eyeballs creating the new website and then she lets Jenny to convince her to travel with her, and some other friends, to Hawaii - typical Angela, no? However, Angela plus Jenny plus Louisa plus James, put together on a beautiful island, in a luxury villa can only mean troubles, and what follows is a hilarious, funny but also poignant story of friendship - full of scenes that you'll never going to forget. Yes, I mean horse riding for example.

We have Angela, Jenny, Lou and Alex go through so much in all the books, we have travelled around the world, have seen brilliant places, and first of all, we have seen Angela, growing, facing her worst enemies, getting herself into many troubles and then getting back on her feet again. We have shared tears, laughter, all the ups and downs and taken Angela and the rest to our hearts. "I Heart" by Lindsay Kelk will stay one of the most recognisable, remarkable and unforgettable series. Ever.

I love Lindsey Kelk's writing style. It's chatty, it's light - hearted but it's also filled with feelings and emotions, and it's a perfect mix. I have laughed out loud, I've cried, I rolled my eyes, I gasped and not only when reading "I Heart Hawaii" but all the other previous books as well. It was such a brilliant, crazy journey that brought so much happy hours. Actually, it took me a long time after I finished reading the book to write this review because I thought that it will be so final then. It's like an end of the era, saying goodbye to Angela and Jenny, really. I'm not a very sentimental person when it comes to fiction, sure, I have my favourite series and when they come to an end it makes me sad, but here I can cry crocodile tears as I know I'm going to miss their mis(adventures), antics and embarrassments. However, personally, I think that it is the best end to a much loved series that we could expect and I absolutely loved it, the closure, the full circle, it left me feel very, very satisfied. There is as much humour as in the previous books, but there is also a little more serious tone in this story, which worked perfectly well - the characters do grow up, do mature and they do have different kind of problems. I know this review is a bit enigmatic and not giving away too much but it's deliberately done - I simply want you to read this book for yourself, to love it as much as I did - and I'm sure you're going to! It was Angela and Lindsey Kelk at their best and I can't recommend the book highly enough!

Well if you have to end a much loved series, I can't think of a more perfect way for it to end. Although I feel like I've been through the wringer emotionally with this book, as there is to my mind are rather ominous prologue, where I was fearing bad things.

Thankfully my ability to predict what is going to happen in a book is rubbish as always, and I loved every single second of the book.

It was wonderful to be back with Angela and the gang, although I'm utterly bereft that we won't be getting another I Heart book. This is just as much fun if not more so than all the others in the series, and easily a new favourite of mine.

If you are a mega fan of Lindsey's you will spot other characters from her other series popping up, as well as the whole venue in Hawaii being incredibly familiar. The second I started reading and Jenny was talking about the Hawaii trip my mind was thinking I'm sure I've read about the state in another of Lindsey's books, so delighted to see there was a link up.

I even had to smile when I noticed in passing the name of a character who has had a series around him, from another author mentioned. As fans of both authors things like that always make me grin!

This is Angela at her best, she is trying to cope with motherhood, is going back to work, has approaches about joining a top mothering group, there is a talk of a big deal for her professionally - and yet she still has time for a 5 day press junket to Hawaii with assorted friends.

When you put Angela Clark, Jenny Lopez, Louisa, James and Eva together on a tropical island, expect fireworks, and hilarity to ensue. The scene with the horses is fabulous, there is late night swimming, there is so so much fun to be had, as well as some more serious conversations between friends.

I loved seeing how Alex was with Alice, he really is the best husband you can get in fiction, and a superstar to boot.

From the second this book dropped onto my kindle, I knew I had to drop everything and just read it. Lindsey Kelk is always a favourite author, and I would love to wax lyrical about the whole book for hours, but I fear boring you - plus I'd rather you go out and read it yourself.

I have no idea if its readable as a standalone, I was far too engrossed in reading it, and being back amongst old friends, to even give it a second thought, plus all 8 books in the series are equally fabulous - so if you haven't read I Heart New York, go back to the beginning of the series, and lose yourself in truly entertaining stories.

Excellent writing, fabulous humour, and everything you have come to expect from a book in this series, I couldn't love this book if I tried. Well apart from when I remember that its the end of the series and then I just get upset.

I truly truly hope this isn't really the last we see of these characters, I'll settle for cameos in future books just to know they are all ok, and getting on with things.

Regardless if you love your romantic comedies, want to dream of going to Hawaii, or just generally want a wonderfully easy to read and incredibly entertaining story, you can't go far wrong with this one.

But please.... Lindsey Kelk, can we have some more!

Thank you to Netgalley and Harper Collins for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I heart Hawaii is the last book in this amazing series. I can’t believe that I started reading these books 10 years ago 😮😮. Where does the time go to.

In this fabulous series we have seen Angela, Jenny, Alex and the gang go through so much. We have journeyed to amazing places, we have seen Angela get her self into and out of many scraps, we have seen her face her worst enemy, dine with hotshot celebrities, work her way up in her career in journalism, we have shared, the tears, the laughter, the ups and downs, seen Angela get married and have children and we have seen Jenny go on her many adventures too.

So it was only fitting that I picked up the series right from the beginning, from where it all began in I heart New York and read through every single book once more before finally reading the last ever book in the series.

When Jenny invites Angela to join her on a press trip to Hawaii, Angela jumps at the chance. Sure she will miss her beautiful daughter and dishy Alex, but how can she pass up the opportunity of three whole days paid for trip to Hawaii. To be surrounded by the sun, the sea, palm trees, beaches and spending time with her best friend. It sounds like just the thing Angela has been craving.

After starting her new job as the face of the new Have it all. Angela is feeling a little over her head. She doesn’t really know what she is supposed to do and has so far only managed to hid in a cupboard, watch Netflix and eat mini cheddars. Perhaps this much needed break will get those creative juices flowing.

As we have come to love and expect from this series. When the gang gets together there is many messy tangles, lots of hilarious encounters and situations and much love and friendship along the way.

There are also plenty of pop up cameo appearances from much loved characters from the books gone by and some from other books of the author too. Which was extremely exciting.

This book is the perfect ending for this beloved series. Lindsey my love, thank you for the laughter, thank you for the tears, thank you for the happiness not only this series has brought to mine and millions of other readers but also the happiness that your other books bring too. It’s been a crazy journey my love and I am so happy to have been able to be a part of it. Buying and reading all the books and watching and following you on social media brings a big smile to my face. You are amazing, your books are simply fabulous and I have loved every minute of this fabulous series. I hope you look back on it and realise just how far you have come, how much you have achieved, and how much you are loved by millions of readers around the world. I can’t wait to see where this journey of life takes you next and I can’t wait to read about the characters that you will dream up next. Here’s to ten fabulous years of fantastic readings and amazing books and cheers to many more to come. Take care lovely. Xx
