Hilarious book from one of my favorite rom-com writers.

Mallory is an out of work professional fluffer. The kind that helps realtors sell homes faster, not a sex worker.

When she answers a job ad for a fluffer, things go sideways, but she gets reunited with her high school crush. Turns out he was just as interested in her, and is thrilled at the chance to get to know her.

I love Will and Mal! Mal’s situation at the beginning was hilarious. Will and Mal have definite chemistry and their banter throughout the book is awesome. Even the side characters have you rolling in laughter. A book full of witty banter, hilarious situations, chemistry, friends, and love! Can’t wait for the rest of the series!

I loved it! The plot was original and fresh, the characters were real, the writing brilliant and of course it was funny as hell. But it was more than just a rom-com the romance was true and oh so sweet.

Mallory/Mal is in trouble, financial trouble. After losing her professional real estate 'stager' job nearly a month ago her bank balance is now in negative. She spends her days searching for work and one day comes across a job she thinks will be perfect.

Mal's job 'interview' emails/texts were hilarious! Okay nearly everything Mal does is hilarious. She is smart but VERY naive, which is what made it even more funny. This is a warning about reading this book in public, don't do it as it may cause snort laughing and spit drink or both.

At this 'job' Mal needs so bad, everything turns pear shaped when she FINALLY clues into what kind of film set she's on. the owner of the house where they are filming comes and shuts it all down but to Mal's shock it's none other than her high school crush!! Things were said, photos were taken and accusations were made!

I fell instantly for Will, you can tell straight off the bat he's caring and has a soft spot for Mal. Again as Mal is a

lot naive she doesn't pick up on it as fast. I loved the flirty banter between these two and Julia's writing style makes you feel like you are right there with them. I adored all the secondary characters too, Perky and Fi are a hoot!

So we go on a fun ride with Will and Mal as they try and get past the past and social stigma that kept them apart, all to find or acknowledge their true feelings for each other. This is a must read for rom-com lovers!

    Wow!

This was such a funny, smart, fun read!

I thoroughly enjoyed getting lost in this story and its characters.

It was fun reading about Will and Mallory reconnecting after 14 years (even if it was under the most unusual circumstances) and developing a new, fresh adult relationship.

The beginning of this book had me hooked right from the start.

What started as a job opportunity for Mallory Monahan quickly turns into one of the most embarrassing situations that could happen to a person.

This is also when she reconnects with Will.

    Great storyline and characters.

    Wonderful read!

Hilarious, full of sexual innuendos, great girlfriends, and a high school crush make Fluffy one of the best books I’ve read this year! I have never, in my life, laughed as hard as I did reading Fluffy. Mallory and Will, the nerd and the jock back in high school, meet once again in the most awkward of situations. Will and Mallory embark on a friendship where they come to terms with growing up, putting the past behind them and admitting their feelings for one another. Easier said than done, right?

The cast of characters, from Will and Mallory, to their friends, to Mallory’s family, made this book one of my favorites. Julia Kent truly writes the BEST rom-coms that also have heart! I loved Will and Mallory and their journey to find love! I highly suggest this book!

I adored this book. It was exactly what I needed and I couldn’t put it down. Mallory and Will had me in stitches. I loved the dynamic of Mal and her friends too. Her mother had me ready to pee myself.

I laughed so hard I cried. Fluffy is Julia Kent’s at her best. You need this book! Her words are gold and you won’t be able to put them down!”

I was so in the mood for this book. o.m.g. So funny. One of my favorite tropes is the meet cute. Fluffy starts out with a whopper of a meet-cute. Mallory get into a major job description misunderstanding. She doesn't know what a fluffer is. It's a running joke throughout the book. Will seems a little wooden and stern in the beginning of the book-and with good reason. Who wants a porn film crew in your parents' home? Not me. Mallory get into a major job description misunderstanding. She doesn't know what a fluffer is. It's a running joke throughout the book. Will seems a little wooden and stern in the beginning of the book-and with good reason. Who wants a porn film crew in your parents' home? Not me. Mallory is book smart (she turned down Harvard!) but she gets fooled major big time. I was concerned that there would be too much wackiness. There's a lot of humor, but some really sweet moments too. Will turns out to be a really nice guy. He did notice Mallory back in the day. They had lockers next to each other. Mallory had a major crush on Will and is still crushing on him.

Mallory seemed to dwell on the past. She was valedictorian of her high school class, but felt like she never quite fit in. She was still seeing everyone as they were 10 years ago-including herself.

Will to Mallory: "Why would you hide the fact that you're smart from a guy?" Laughter, fourteen years of it, all bottled up and fizzy, comes shooting out of me like I'm Diet Coke and his words are Mentos.

There are a lot of porn jokes. Yes, I laughed at them. So awkward but IMHO, very funny.

"..it was an internet boycott. I was part of. The AlwaysDoll manufacturer was using slave labor to make the dye for the plastic labia."

A lot of one liners. Mallory and Will become friends. She has no idea that Will could be attracted to HER?? Yes. He is.

This could finally be when Mallory finally finds her groove.

She finds her professional niche. She also stops caring so much what others think of her.

Great ending... Not so much into the future. I think that this would make a great audio book.

I will be rereading this book for sure.

I received an ARC from the author- from THE Julia Kent :O 4.25 stars.

It all started with the wrong Help Wanted ad. Of course it did.

I’m a professional fluffer. It’s NOT what you think. I stage homes for a living. Real estate agents love me, and my work stands on its own merits.

I’m a professional fluffer. It’s NOT what you think. I stage homes for a living. Real estate agents love me, and my work stands on its own merits.

Sigh. Get your mind out of the gutter. Go ahead. Laugh. I’ll wait.

See? That’s the problem. My career has used the term “fluffer” for decades. I didn’t even know there was a more… lascivious definition of the term.

    Until it was too late.

The ad for a “professional fluffer” on Craigslist seemed like divine intervention. My last unemployment check was in the bank. I was desperate. Rent was due. The ad said cash paid at the end of the day. The perfect job!

Staging homes means showing your best angle. The same principle applies in making a certain kind of movie. Turns out a “fluffer” doesn’t arrange decorative pillows on a couch.

They arrange other soft, round-ish objects.

The job isn’t hard. Er, I mean, it is — it’s about being hard. Or, well… helping other people to be hard.

    Oh, man…

And that’s the other problem. A man. No, not one of the stars on the movie set. Will Lotham – my high school crush. The owner of the house where we’re filming. Illegally. In a vacation rental.

By the time the cops show up, what I thought was just a great house staging gig turned into a nightmare involving pictures of me with an undressed star, Will rescuing me from an arrest, and a humiliating lesson in my own naivete.

My job turned out to be so much harder than I expected. But you know what’s easier than I ever imagined?

Having all my dreams come true.
