A fantastic read that is a great addition to this series. It is a slow burn between two wonderful characters, Quinn and Fox. I love watching them grow closer throughout the story and their chemistry is undeniable. I can;t wait for more form this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I read the first book in this series a while back, and loved it of course, but this one wasn’t out yet and I lost track. I’m so happy to have now picked the series back up and reacquainted myself with the snarky, cocky Fox, ex-armed forces and newly qualified to bring down any cheating husband or wife as a PI. In this book, he’s coming out of his comfort zone - although with the confidence exuded you wouldn’t know it - to find out who’s behind the leaks of tiny pop

In this book, he’s coming out of his comfort zone - although with the confidence exuded you wouldn’t know it - to find out who’s behind the leaks of tiny pop star Quinn’s songs. And maybe to get a little bit closer to this beautiful closeted boy, if he’s lucky.

Gotta be honest, as a whodunnit this isn’t too taxing, although I did oscillate between whether the leaks/thefts were a solo or collaborative effort. More important is watching Quinn come out if his shell with a bit of support, which is gorgeous. Fox showing his ‘vulnerable underbelly’ is an adorable bonus.

A lovely, sweet story to get your teeth into - and maybe read with a cuppa tea?

Fox <3 .... loved him as a secondary character in book 1 & now I love & adore him! Quinn is a musician whose songs are being leaked, Fox is hired to find out who. Well written story filled with equal parts romance, laughter & hot sex. Loved the chemistry between these 2 characters. I received an Arc for an honest opinion.

    I am really

I enjoying this series. The characters are likeable and the plot lines are good. The reason I have it a 4 is because of all the words out in italics even when they shouldn't be. It was really distracting to me! Please only emphasize with italics if it really needs to be! Otherwise good.

A singer with tons of pressure on him and a private investigator hired to find who's been leaking the music.

I just love how Fox came into Quinns life and just made it better right from the start. He's protective, he's hot, he has humor and all his attention is on Quinn. And while they grow closer Fox makes Quinn see his worth and boost his confidence but Quinn also show Fox that he can be vulnerable and that he wants someone to love.

I loved both characters and their story. My only complaint is that Fox is a terrible at his job....

Quinn is a sweet man who’s totally duped and abused by his uncle, who’s his manager, trying to fulfill a contract for his singing career. But, his songs are being leaked, so a PI is hired by the record company.

Quinn comes to rely on Fox, who’s the only one to look out for him, and Fox grows to be unable to not take care of Quinn, to protect him from anything that could hurt him.

The “mystery” isn’t one, it’s clear who’s sabotaging Quinn, and it’s strange that even after Fox sees the proof, he almost leaves without finishing up the case.

There’s a bit too much going on, with Quinn being in the closet unnecessarily, the sabotage, him being overworked but trying to get his new album done, and Fox trying on his investigator hat.

Not a bad story, just a bit obvious.

I liked the first book very much and was looking forward to read the next installment.

And...it started promising and funny but than took a nosedive.

Main point is one very weak character named Quinn, that halfway through the book started to really grate on my nerves. I have nothing against insecure characters but this was a new level of insecurity and indecision it wasn't even funny/ cute or whatever.

As someone who hasn’t read the first book (couldn’t get into it) I can tell you that you can indeed read it as a complete standalone because everything you need to know about the characters and background story gets told during the first few pages.

The book as such was also very good and I really liked it mainly because of Fox! That guy was such a sweetheart <3 he was protective, sweet, confident enough to defend the oppressed and didn’t shy away to state his opinion to people with way too much money. Since I’m a big fan of the “opposite attract”-trope I had a big weakness for his and Quinn’s relationship and in the beginning I really rooted for them.

that changed the moment Quinn threw Fox under the bus and flat out LIED to save his own ass. I hated that moment so much and I felt SO SO bad for Fox since he really loved Quinn, and did and gave EVERYTHING for him. And instead of doing the same for him, Quinn literally threw Fox to the sharks. So it’s no wonder that after that scene I just despised him and actually hoped that Fox found another guy.

If that scene wouldn’t have happened it would have been a 4 stars rating but in that case… Quinn killed it, thanks buddy!
