I have recently developed a thing for hockey romances and this one did not disappoint! It sucked me in from the start and I couldn't put it down. This is the first book by Odette Stone that I have read and I will be back for more.

Holy smokes is Mica hot! He needs to get married to a "good girl" in order to save his career with the team he loves. Charlie is his Agent's PA and has had a crush on Mica for two years. Talk about the perfect set up for a great romance. :) They have crazy chemistry

Talk about the perfect set up for a great romance. :) They have crazy chemistry that they both try to fight but in the end, it's just too powerful to ignore. This book has it all - fake marriage that turns real, sexy chemistry, suspense, heartbreak and happily ever after.

An ARC was provided by the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

I really loved this story!! It's not so original or unique but just done so well.

I loved the characters...you got some real depth and development. It seemed realistic.

Charlie crushed on him and he didn't take any (sexual) interest in her for two years when she was assistant to his sports agent. Mica was a NHL player who had plenty of easy conquests.

The need to marry was a bit contrived but we went along with it. Charlie needed a bit of help and Mica could help.

I think the hockey parts were brief but set a realistic tone on those long road trips.

I loved the secondary characters so much.

The twists in the story were many. Hang on.

I had to review some just to keep it all straight.

So well done, Odette. A nice Canadian story!

Odette Stone out does herself again with The Penalty Box, book three in her Vancouver Wolves series!

As heroes go Mica was deliciously bad. Full of abundant charm it was hard not to initially be taken in by Mica, but what kept his allure going was Ms. Stone's adroit incremental exposure of the man behind the high profile escapades. This character had lots of depth and integrity that never let up allowing those willing to look to see both his value and his potential. Charlie's strength was her core goodness. Yes she was able to face her obstacles like a boss, even when it seemed like they would never let up, but it was her ability to believably not succumb to defeat and become cynical that made her a really well written heroine. Sometime it takes a while to see the connection between a hero and heroine but that was not the case with Mica and Charlie, their relationship had many layers that went beyond the physical from the start. When this couple had their attraction breakthrough the sexual tension that was set off from that point on was excruciating, exciting and full of powerful feelings that could be felt vicariously.

Support characters such as Krista, Ryan, Zoey and Mica's mother punctuated this work with a mix of fun and touching moments. This author used her secondary characters fantastically. Ms. Stone's inclusion of an intriguing subplot gave added appeal.

Odette Stone is the kind of writer where you pick up one of her books and disappear into the pages. Engaging, she instinctively knows what her characters need to say and what her audience wants to read. This writer has a natural flow to her work that shows in how effortlessly she appears to relate her stories. Don't miss out on The Penalty Box, it is everything you could ask for in a good story!

This was by far my favourite in the entire series.

Gosh it was so cute and adorable. Now I’m sad because it’s over.

The Penalty Box: (A Vancouver Wolves Hockey Romance Book 3)

Charlie is Mica's Agent, Krista, second in command. His nickname for her is Baby Krista.😂 She's been counteracting her mind numbing attraction to him over the last two years by acting as though she thinks he's a sleazy man*h*re with no class!🙈 He barely notices her, which is great but also mortifying!!😕

After getting arrested whilst on stage with the Club Owner at a Charity Event, Mica's contract is on the line!😳 The owner, Mark Ashford, is furious but loves Mica & Krista knows that. After all of his infractions lately she thinks showing Mark that Mica has 'settled down' will possibly save Hockey career! So she tells Mark he's engaged & is getting married soon, Mark agrees to give him one last chance!!🙈😳💥

The fake/real marriage between Charlie & Mica is awkward, funny & uncomfortable. When his protective instincts get kicked in things change a bit & easier for them both. But when he accidentally walks in on her trying on new lingerie all bets are off!!😍🔥

There is a sinister element in this story throughout, we're never quite sure where its coming from but it's always there in background, growing - it's creepy!!😢😡

This is another fab read. I've been loving this series & the Author's writing style. She's made each book different enough that they *don't* feel like you're reading the same book rewritten, we've all had that happen!😕 On to book #4 😃😎💕

The Penalty Box is a slow burn marriage of inconvenience (lol) read. Mica and Charlie are reluctant to get fake married to save Mica’s career on the ice, but once they come together they can’t resist the natural attraction they have toward each other. It’s a slow burn, but once they start burning it is HOTTT. I enjoyed this story, because they truly do fall in love during the story. The attraction is quick, but the feelings take some time. There

There is a bit of a suspenseful side plot. There’s some angst, but honestly the couple navigates it all well. Such a good read and I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author!!

This is the first book that I have read from Odette Stone. I love a good sports romance book and this one didn’t disappoint. Charlie and Mica were a great couple. The storyline was great. It grabbed you and didn’t let go until it was finished. The suspense, the heat and the drama of this book was breathtaking. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
